As you have rightly questioned, why can’t govt.schools perform?. Who can ask?. I tried queastioning one school on behalf of my domestic help. I was told not to visit the school any more.

Education is big business today. My domestic help has changed her children to private English medium school. She does not know what her children are studying , she is paying for their tuition after school hours. So the middle class dream of English medium for economic empowerment is catching up.

The so called private schools are teaching by rote method. Once again schools make good money . People want good schools, so they pay by hook or crook and opt for English medium private schools.

The cycle seems endless. And we seem to be churning out young Indians with barely any educaton , but English literate. Call centre jobs are ready .

Where are we going? Confusing and scary.
